Ugh

Energized life button

Remember how I said last week that I was going to make time to do at least 30 minutes of Wii every day for my workout?

I failed. I have not touched the Wii since last Wednesday and I feel so bad. It is at this point where it would be so easy to just give up. But I will persevere. I can start anew today and put it on my to do list again.

On a brighter note, I did ride my bike on Tuesday. Since Sofie, my toddler, was sick this weekend I left her at home with dad who had his one day off. Then I rode my bike to church for Bible study and then back home again. I think this was my 5th ride there and back and I have actually cut the amount of time I spend getting there in half. The first time going there I used 30 minutes and I was exhausted. This time I used 15 minutes and yes I was exhausted. The same happened on the way home. Instead of 40 minutes home, I did it in 20 minutes.

I have asked my husband for a speedometer for my bike. One that tells you how far you’ve gone and what time it is. Just like this one from Amazon.Cateye CC-VL510 Velo 5-Function Bicycle Computer

He has promised me that he is going to get me one :)

I was considering going on a bike ride today, but I ended up not having time again. Still I will do my usual 2 mile walk with the dog and the kids, dropping Isabel off at school on the halfway point. I would walk farther, but Sofie will only go so far before she is done.

I hope your exercise routine is going well and that you don’t get discouraged. And if you have any tips on how to throw in some extra exercise here and there, please share.

Good job starting fresh today! I have good intentions, too, and often fail in accomplishing them. Something I just started doing is the free step with the wii fit board. I don't know if you've done that, but you can set it up for how long you want to "step" and set the tempo faster or slower. Then, you can change your tv input to watch a show or dvd, and the wii remote will keep track of your time and coach you along. I find that if I speed up the tempo and get a good 20-30 minutes in, it's a decent workout. Not like a run or anything...but definitely better than nothing. And I can multitask, so it goes quickly:) It's great for when I can't get outside to walk.

I'm impressed! Our weather here isn't great yet for biking or walking... too much snow and rain still.
I need to get some kind of exercise in my day too. I used to jog every morning when I got up, but then I started blogging and early morning became my blog time. Now I've gained back all my weight. It's a bummer.

Marianne, thanks for stopping by day2day joys and for the encouragement! I know you can do it too! A great tip you probably already know is to park at the back of the lot when going to stores, might help a little.

It's so hard to keep up with exercise isn't it? Just too many things to do, so many of which are way more fun that exercise, lol. Thanks for stopping by Women Who Do It All!
