Right now we are 30 minutes with boat away from the closest grocery store which is also closed every Sunday. We have limited space in a very small fridge. No freezer. A wooden stove and a small gas stove to cook and bake with. A river coming down from a glazier to keep things cool, like my soda bottles. A fjord full of fresh fish. And a garden that may or may not provide us with at least some vegetables and berries.
So what is on our menu then you ask?
- Home made bread by my mom.
- Waffles by me.
- Pancakes by me.
- Eggs in all shapes and varieties.
- Vegetables.
- Pasta dishes.
- Salads.
- Fish.
- Meat for a few days after we have been to the store.
We go grocery shopping once or twice a week. The fridge holds perishables like milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt and some meat. We go fishing when ever we feel like it and there is a huge variety of fish to get, but you never know what you are going to get.
I am loving the simplicity of it all.

That sounds awesome! Simplicity is right. I bet the girls are just loving the isolation!
